NATALIA NOVIA
I am an author and a creature of strange habits. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a Piscis, and a Fire Dragon in the Chinese Horoscope, 24/7. I am sometimes a demon, other times a zombie, and yet other times a vampire. I love diversity and innovative storytelling.
I create comics, illustrations, and audiovisual projects.
L’ORGANISME is my first graphic novel. It was published by Éditions Insula 2018 (France). I am currently working on my next graphic novel, a self-reference project called ‘Beautiful and Bestial’.
In March 2022, my comic «MISSION: E5» was published in «NOW #11: The New Comics Anthology by Fantagraphics Books».
In october 2020, the Recoleta Cultural Center and Sudestada Festival selected my project for the ‘Comics Creations’ category. The project, which I carried out along fellow comics creator Ariel López V.
I participated in the first anthology on sexual diversity, “Historieta LGBTI“, published by Editorial Municipal de Rosario (2017), as well as in the Latin American comics anthology volume called “CAPISCI?”, published by Editorial Estudio Mafia (2017).
My illustrations and comics have been featured regularly in print media, such as in the following magazines: “GUISO”; “CLUB VAMPIRE”; “INVASOR 3”; “AGUINALDO”; “LAS FIERAS”; “CRISIS”; “FIERRO”; “AKA” the WaiComics journal; “MAL FLASH” digital edition- NAN magazine.
My work has also been featured in group exhibitions, such as: “Nosotras contamos. Un recorrido por la obra de autoras de Historieta y Humor Gráfico de ayer y de hoy” (Redacción Abierta LatFem, 2019); “Planches de Salut. BD Argentine Alternative” (Maison de l’Argentine, Cité Universitaire de París, 2018); “A Flor de Piel, mujeres acá y ahora “ (Centro Cultural Recoleta, 2018); “Fanzine a la Carta” Chicks On Comics (Fundación Proa, 2017); “Elsa Bornemann Ilustrada” (Biblioteca del Congreso de la Nación, 2014).
I create my own fanzines and regularly design and teach my own workshops. As of 2003 I have been working as an animation producer in audiovisual media, for full-feature projects as well as TV shows, and in advertising projects as well.
Soy una autora de comportamientos raros, nací en Mataderos y crecí en Ciudadela, Buenos Aires – Argentina. De Piscis y dragón de fuego las 24hs. Algunas veces demonio, algunas veces zombie, algunas veces vampire. Interesada en la diversidad y en contar historias.
Hago historietas, ilustraciones y realizaciones audiovisuales.
L’ORGANISME, es mi primer novela gráfica, publicada por Éditions Insula 2018 (Francia). Actualmente estoy desarrollando mi próxima novela autorreferencial llamada «Bello y Bestial».

Periódicamente realizo talleres y creo mis propios fanzines.
Desde el año 2004 me desempeño como productora de animación en medios audiovisuales, para largometrajes, series televisivas y publicidad.
